Bernice Ruth Coleman, 86, of Premier, WV, died Wednesday, March 6, 2013, at her residence.
       
Bernice was born June 1, 1926 in Iaeger, WV, a daughter of the late Simon and Ona Kennedy Vanover.  She was of the Baptist Faith, enjoyed gardening, flowers, cooking, and playing Bingo.  Bernice was the last surviving member of her immediate family and she loved her dog Paco.
       
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Coleman, one daughter, Cathy Coleman,a granddaughter, Georgette Horn, a grandson, Joseph Ratliff, two sons, James and Howard Coleman, six sisters, and four brothers. 
   
Survivors include two daughters, Iona Collins and husband Bobby of Harmony, NC, and Dumpy Ratliff and husband Donald of Sandy Huff; four sons, Thomas Coleman  and wife Kathleen and Norman Coleman and wife Brenda all of Sandy Huff, George Coleman and wife Judith of Yadkinville, NC, and Jesse Coleman and wife Sandy of Rocky Gap, VA; two special grandchildren Tammy Cecil and Jon Justice both of Premier; nineteen grandchildren; thirty great grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren; and special friends, Vickie Ratliff and Kym Lawson. 
   
Funeral services will be conducted Sunday, March 10, 2013, at 11 o’clock, with Pastor Randall Dority, Reverend Gary Walker and Speaker Teddy Vance officiating at the Roderfield Pentecostal Holiness Church at Roderfield, WV.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Park at Bluewell, WV.  Serving as pallbearers will be her grandsons.
     
Friends may visit with the family at the Roderfield Pentecostal Holiness Church, Saturday evening March 9, 2013, after 5 p.m., where an evening service will be conducted at 7 p.m.
     
Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger is assisting the Coleman family.
