Randy Lee Kennedy, 37 of, Bradshaw WV, died February 8, 2013 in Davy WV involving a train.
He was born November 16, 1975 in Welch WV, The son of Donald Kennedy and Ruby Hicks.
Randy enjoyed spending time with family, also enjoyed rabbit and deer hunting, fishing and any other outdoor sport, and most importantly he loved having family gatherings. He was the proud owner of Backwoods Trucking in Bradshaw WV.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather Randolph Kennedy grandmothers Ruth Kennedy, Flossie Jewell, step grandmother Faye Kelly, one sister Tabitha Ruthann Kennedy, one aunt Lady Hicks, and one uncle James Kennedy, and his father in law Bill Bowman and great grandparents James and Ollie Kelly of Coon Branch WV.
Those left to cherish his memories is his loving wife Nancy Bowman Kennedy, two children Randi Leanna and Courtney Kennedy of the home in Lex WV, his parents Donald Kennedy and wife Frances of Oozley Wv, Ruby and husband Larry Hicks of Stringtown WV, Grandfather Andy Kelly and wife Kathy of Marytown Wv, mother-in-law Liz Bowman of Rockrige Wv, 5 sisters; Donna and Husband Richard Jordan of Oak Hill WV, Tara and husband Nathan Hagerman of Rock Ridge WV, Monica and husband Kevin Ross of Coalwood WV, Brianna Kennedy of Bradshaw WV, Pam and husband Grayson Slone of Bartley WV, 3 brothers Donald, Jarvey, and James Kennedy all of Bradshaw WV, four nephews; Ferrell Vance and Mendy Kelly of Oak Hill WV, Richard Jordan III. of Oak Hill WV, Tyler Rose of Bartley WV, Jordan Jones of Coalwood WV, and one very special great-nephew Hunter Vance, two nieces Kaleigh Ross of Coalwood WV, and Gracie Slone of Bartley WV. And a lot of special aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be conducted Monday February 11, 2013, at 12 noon, with Reverend Pete Woods and Reverend Tommy Jenks officiating at The Jesus Church of Bartley, in Bartley WV. Burial will follow at The Woods Cemetery near Bradshaw WV .Serving as pallbearers will be Donnie Church, Grayson Slone, Mark Payne, Charlie Auville, Nelson Vance, Tommy Vance, Freddie Dawson, and William “Lil Bill” Roberts, Travis Kennedy , and Travis Jewell. Serving as Honorary Pallbearers will be Nathan Hagerman, Richard Jordan, Ricky Kennedy, Roy Roberts, Johnny Roberts, Sambo Jewell, Josh Blankenship.
Randy meant a lot to his family and friends and will always remain in their hearts.
Friends may visit with the family at The Jesus Church of Bartley, Sunday evening February 10, 2013, after 6 PM.
Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger is assisting the Kennedy family.
