Thomas Clyde Mullins, 83, of Avondale, WV passed away Thursday, August 9, 2012 in Clinch Valley Medical Center in Richlands, VA.
   
Clyde was born April 27, 1929 in Avondale, WV, a son of the late Burb and Margaret Addair Mullins. He was  retired from N & W Railroad and a member of the Garland Church of the Living God. 
   
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by three sisters, Dora Handy, Ethel Crosswhite, and Hazel Synchroth; and six brothers, Doc, Carl, Fred, Hubert, Bobby Dean and Warren Mullins.
   
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Wanda Hopkins Mullins of the home; one daughter, Joy Stafford and husband Mike of Avondale, WV; two sons, Tommy Mullins and wife Jena of Hanover, and Preston Mullins of the home; four grandchildren, Angela Stress and husband Eddie of War, Jerry Mullins of Fairmont, Scott Mullins and wife Mary of Roderfield, Jason Mullins and wife Amy of Hanover; five great grandchildren; two sisters, Gertrude Roberts of Bradshaw, and Betty Jean Thomas of Vinton, VA; four brothers, Mack Mullins and wife Lee of Fayetteville, NC, Ronald Mullins and wife Ruth of Roanoke, VA, J. B. Mullins and wife Rachel of Vinton, VA, Dowell Mullins and wife Esther of Richlands, VA, and Douglas Mullins and wife Margaret of Roanoke, VA; and numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and beloved friends. 
 
Funeral services will be conducted Monday, August 13, 2012, at 12 o clock, with Reverend Kenny Green and Reverend Johnnie Stanley officiating at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, WV.  Burial will follow in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens at Bluewell.
           
Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger, Sunday evening, August 12, 2012, from 6 to 9 p.m. 
     
Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger is assisting the Mullins Family.

  I have many wonderful remembrances of Clyde from years past.  He and my dad were good friends and loved to hunt together.  We shared weiner roasts, picnics, etc.  Wanda and family, you have my deepest condolences.  He was a good, good man!
