Charles Dean Shultz, 71, of Iaeger, WV, went home to be with his Lord Wednesday, August 8, 2012, in Saint Francis Hospital in Charleston, WV.
   
Charles was born March 21, 1941, in Knoxville, TN, a son of the late Houston and Alice Adkins Shultz.  He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Iaeger, WV, and was retired from the WV Department of Highways, Havaco Division. 
   
He was preceded in death by his parents.
   
Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Loraine Kennedy Shultz of the home; a son, Allan Shultz and wife Hope of Roanoke, VA; a daughter, Deanna Denise Picklesimer and husband Mike of Iaeger; three beloved grandchildren, Amanda, Michaela, and Michael Picklesimer all of Iaeger; a brother, Ralph Shultz of Thomasville, NC; a special niece, Marla Jeter Tolliver of Huntington, WV; and three nephews, Kenny Shultz and wife Kim, Kevin Shultz and wife Amy and Brian Shultz all to Thomasville, NC.
   
Graveside services will be conducted Saturday, August 11, 2012, at 12 noon, with Reverend Ed Watts officiating at Roselawn Memorial Gardens in Princeton, WV, where burial will follow.  Pallbearers will be family and friends.
     
Friends may visit with the family at the Chapel of Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger Friday evening, August 10, 2012, from 6 to 9 p.m.
     
Fanning Funeral Home in Iaeger is assisting the Shultz Family.
